Achva East is a fun tour of the Eastern United States for boys and girls finishing 8th grade.

Achva East, one of the oldest Achva programs, is back for 2010 in a brand new and exciting format. Travel for three great weeks to the most exciting places on the Eastern half of the United States. Starting out from New York City, head south through Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia, before turning north and going to Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio.

Activities will include amazing theme parks, boating, hiking, caving, rafting, plus lots of major attractions such as Busch Gardens, Underground Atlanta, Mud Island, Graceland, Gateway Arch, Sears Tower and the number one rated Cedar Point Amusement Park, among many others. Please see the itinerary below for a day-by-day breakdown of what we do. You will be surprised by how many great sites, attractions and activities we pack into 23 days.

Achva East is specifically designed for post 8th-graders with a great combination of fun and exciting sites and attractions as well as some educational and spiritually refreshing activities as well. We will spend three Shabbatot together with great Jewish communities in Atlanta, GA, Memphis, TN and Cleveland, OH where you will get to know the friendly locals and have a relaxing Shabbat to rest up from a packed week of activities and travel. Shabbat will feature a lively davening with meals provided at the shul followed by guest speakers and interesting educational sessions. The experienced counselor staff will guide you every step of the way and ensure you have the best experience possible.

Dates and prices for 2011 coming soon! (2010 Info: Aug 1-23, 2010 - $3,550)

Price includes room, board, all sites and attractions, and basically everything except spending money. The finalized itinerary will be subject to change at any time at Achva's discretion. The safety of every participant is always our top priority. Dates and prices are subject to change based on hotel availability and scheduling.
